Vitamin B1 Thiamine Mononitrate

Category:

Description

[Product Name]: Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1 Mono) [VT0002]

[Chemical Formula]: C12H16N4OS

[CAS]: 59-43-8

[Product Performance]:

Vitamin B1 is also called thiamine and it exhibits blue fluorescence under UV irradiation. It can help to fight neuritis, beriberi, etc. It is available as a white crystal (or crystalline powder).  It has a faintly bitter taste and a strong odor.  In acidic solutions, B1 is stable; however, in alkaline solutions it is unstable and susceptible to both oxidation and heat damage due to oxidative dehydrogenation. Thiamine is classified as a B vitamin on the basis of combined pyrimidine and methylthiazole rings. Thiamine Mononitrate should only be stored in cool temperatures and for short durations. Avoid humid conditions since thiamine readily absorbs moisture, which can lead to metamorphic decomposition especially in alkaline solutions. Both acidic and alkaline levels above 5 frequently result in instability or decomposition with a corresponding decrease of light and heat titers. Thiamine Mononitrate has a PH of 3.5 and high-temperature resistance at 100℃. Exposure to sulfites, such as sulfur dioxide, can reduce vitamin B1 activity to 0.
