Guanidineacetic Acid

Category:

Description

[Product Name]: Guanidineacetic Acid

[Chemical Formula]: C3H7N3O2

[CAS]: 352-97-6

[Product Performance]:

Guanidineacetic-acid is used as a feed additive and as an organic synthesis intermediate. It is the precursor of creatine demonstrating stable performance and high absorption rates that can promote improved energy distribution during the synthesis of muscle tissue. Guanidineacetic-acid helps to improve animals’ physical characteristics. Creatine phosphate is only found (in significant amounts) in muscle and nerve tissue; since there is very little creatine phosphate content in adipose tissue, the addition of Guanidineacetic-acid can promote the transfer of energy to muscle tissue, which is particularly relevant for improvement of the stature of lean pigs. Guanidineacetic-acid also improves the growth of livestock, poultry, fish and shrimp (i.e., weight gain in livestock and poultry can increase by more than 7% with growth rates of fish and shrimp increased by 8%). Pigs use acid at the 50-100kg stage to reduce the meat-to-feed ratio by 0.2 allowing them to grow and fatten 7-10 days ahead of schedule, which can save more than 15kg of feed per pig. Guanidinoacetic-acid is stable and safe to use since it is ultimately metabolized and removed (without any residue) from animals’ bodies in the form of creatinine. It also helps to safely and effectively mitigate the side effects of many illicit drugs (such as clenbuterol). Supplementing creatine in animal feeds can reduce the production of free radicals in mitochondria thereby encouraging better flesh color and muscle quality while accelerating the synthesis of ATP in muscles and reducing heat stress reactions (especially in  transportation and transfer animals). Lastly, glycine helps to improve pigs’ breeding performance by facilitating energy transfer to animals’ gonads, as well as by enhancing sperm quantity and motility in the semen fold.
